Green Building

Green Building is part of our philosophy!

 

 

Company practices on every job include donating reusable materials to Habitat for Humanity and recycling whenever possible, including scrap metal and cardboard packing material. We also make annual donations to American Forests and Austin Treefolks to plant new trees to offset our need for lumber. We have been members of the Austin Green Building Program for over 10 years. Our management staff regularly attends Green Building seminars to continue our education in the latest energy-efficient and sustainable construction practices and materials. In one of our larger projects, on a historic downtown home, we achieved a four-star rating and had the highest point total for a residential remodeling project to date (2004). In 2005 one of our projects was featured on the Texas Solar Energy Society/Austin Green Building Cool House Tour. On all of our projects, both large and small, we inform our clients about the Green options that can be incorporated to achieve greater durability, higher energy efficiency, and better indoor air quality.
